Sue Schroder

Like so many, Sue Schroder was an innocent bystander when she was hit by the truck of a cancer diagnosis in November 2009. At the same time she was leaving a career as a journalist that spanned more than 30 years at The Grand Rapids Press, Sue was diagnosed with follicular non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Now in remission, she explores the uncharted territory of living with cancer as a columnist. She stays busy writing, strengthening her French, and improving her Play-Doh skills during trips to Chicago while on active Nana duty.
